Influenza (flu)
Influenza commonly known as the flu is a contagious viral infection that affects the respiratory system, including the nose, throat and lungs. It is caused by the influenza virus and is highly contagious spreading easily from person to person through droplets in the air when an infected person talks, coughs or sneezes. Symptoms typically include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches and fatigue.
